We keep our costs (and therefore our prices) low by retaining a minimal, fully operational management team in Hong Kong. Sometimes this means that we just don‘t have time to do the ‘sales’ bit as we’re so busy looking after existing customers and therefore we rely on referrals to grow (in fact over 70% of our work in Hong Kong comes from good referrals and repeat business).
We’re looking for new referral partners and will be re-launching this scheme in 2009. We reward our referral partners handsomely as a percentage of project revenues shared which really does mount up; for example we just completed our 19th elapsed month / 53rd man month with one customer so you can imagine that this could be quite a lucrative proposition! We pay either monthly or at the end of the project and work to full, Hong Kong-based Referral Partner agreements.
